About
I am the owner and founder of Compassion Counseling Center. I received my doctorate degree from Gordon-Connell Theological Seminary and My Master’s degree from East Carolina University. I have worked as a therapist for over 19 years in various settings and have been practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2006, and as a supervisor since 2015.

I am EMDR trained. I address a variety of concerns including, parenting skills, marital issues, trauma, mood disorders, behavior disorders, thought disorders, career concerns, and spiritual concerns. As a professional Christian counselor, I believe that the Lord has the power to heal marriages, families, and individuals, using Jesus as our example of how to live life and find perfect peace.

I use an integrated framework created from Biblical principles and sound psychological and clinical findings to support persons in their journey of spiritual and psychological health, using CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Attachment Theory, and Mindfulness.
