About
Hi, I’m Nicole! I am an intern in Marriage and Family Therapy obtaining my master’s degree at National University. I am at the end of my first Practicum course, heading to Practicum 2. I have a background in Elementary Education and Psychology. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree from East Carolina University.

As a Marriage and Family therapist intern, I have a passion for helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and build stronger, healthier relationships. My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a deep respect for the unique experiences and backgrounds of each person I work with. My specialization is in addiction. I have developed a wide-ranging understanding of various therapy models, including Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy. It all depends on the needs of my clients. I bring a lot of life experiences to the table as well. I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. I’m dedicated to providing evidence-based, compassionate care while developing professionally. I’m excited to collaborate with you and help you on your path to healing, growth, and connection!

I enjoy working with children ages 9 and up, adolescents, women, couples, families, and clients in active addiction or in recovery. Working with individuals who have experienced trauma is something else I find passion in.

In my spare time, I love spending time with my little Schnauzer family and relaxing with a good cup of coffee, taking in nature, while sitting on my porch swing. Having a great laugh with my adult children is also something that I love to do!
